BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

ANDY TRACY

The senior forward for the Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield basketball team averaged 20.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game in leading the Huskies to a 2-1 week. That effort was highlighted by a 25-point, 11-rebound effort in a win against Belfast and a 24-point performance in a last-second loss at Maranacook of Readfield.

Small School (Classes C-D)

COLLIN CIOMEI

A sophomore forward for the Deer Isle-Stonington basketball team, Ciomei had 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Mariners remained unbeaten with a win against Lee Academy on Tuesday. Ciomei is averaging a team-leading 18.7 points per game in sparking Deer Isle-Stonington to a 4-0 start.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

JESSICA HODSDON

A freshman on the Brewer swim team, Hodsdon won the 200-yard individual medley and the 500 freestyle in a meet against Hampden Dec. 21, clocking times that beat the boys’ times in those same events. She finished the IM in 2 minutes, 21.48 seconds, and recorded a 5:29.70 in the distance race. She also swam on the Witches’ winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.

Small School (Classes C-D)

KYLIE BRAGDON

Bragdon, a Sumner of East Sullivan junior, scored 11 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Tigers rally to a 46-44 victory Friday over previously undefeated Washington Academy. She also scored 14 points in a win over Searsport on Dec. 20.
