A State section story in some editions Wednesday incorrectly reported that Keith Frost pleaded not guilty to stealing Christmas presents from an unlocked van in Corinna. Charges have not been filed in that incident, according to the Penobscot County District Attorney’s Office. Frost pleaded not guilty Tuesday to theft and a charge of failing to appear in court in a case stemming from incidents that occurred in 2003.

In the State section of Wednesday’s paper, an Associated Press story about a management plan for a section of the Green Mountain National Forest reported erroneously that 12,135 acres would be cut. The U.S. Forest Service said selective tree cutting would be done on 2,900 acres of that parcel. About 350 acres of softwood trees planted during the 1930s would be removed.
