The shortest biathlon competition, the sprint covers a distance of 10 kilometers for the men and 7.5K for the women.

Competitors start at 30-second intervals. The men will start at 11 a.m., the women at approximately 11:30 a.m.

There are two shooting rounds, with the first in the prone position and the second standing, with five shots at each stage. For each miss, the competitors must cover a 150-meter penalty loop, which takes about 20-30 seconds.
