BRUNSWICK – Marisa Berne scored 11 points and had three steals Saturday to lead Bowdoin College to a 67-36 women’s basketball victory over Husson College of Bangor.

Ashleigh Watson scored nine points for the Polar Bears, who have won 59 consecutive games on their home court. Justine Pouravelis had eight points.

Bowdoin set a school record with 12 three-pointers.

Carmen Ballard led Husson with 24 points and eight rebounds. Jenny Rollins scored eight points and Laura Archer had four steals.

At Gorham, Megan Myles scored 21 points Saturday to lead the University of Southern Maine past Ithaca College in the Maine Coast Classic.

Ashley Marble had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies. Donna Cowing and Shannon Kynoch both added 12 points and Katie Frost had eight assists.

Erin Sanvidge led Ithaca with 16 points and Molly Brennan scored 11 points.

Kate Emery led Colby of Waterville with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Tracy Nale scored 10 points and Regina Wohl had nine points and five assists.
