The final event of the U.S. Olympic biathlon trials covers a distance of 10 kilometers for the men and 7.5K for the women. Competitors start at 30-second intervals. There are two shooting bouts, with the first in the prone position and the second standing, with five shots each.

The final event of the U.S. Olympic biathlon trials covers a distance of 10 kilometers for the men and 7.5K for the women. Competitors start at 30-second intervals. There are two shooting bouts, with the first in the prone position and the second standing, with five shots each. For each miss the competitors must cover a 150-meter penalty loop which takes about 20-30 seconds.

The men’s race will start at 10 a.m., followed by the women’s race at 10:30.
