JONESPORT – Bryant Ciomei and Jon Eaton scored eight and seven points, respectively, to spark a 25-14 third-quarter burst as the Deer-Isle Stonington Mariners dealt the Jonesport-Beals Royals their first loss, 79-56, in high school boys basketball action Tuesday night.

Bryant Ciomei finished with 17 points and brother Collin 12 for Deer Isle-Stonington. Eaton tossed in 16 and Rob Brown led the winners with 19.

Ross Griffin led all scorers with 20 points for Jonesport-Beals. Ralph Backman added 13 and Joseph Libby 12.
