College planning for adults

The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will offer “The Essentials of College Planning” workshop, free, at several locations:

. 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 9, Brewer Housing Authority, 1 Colonial Circle, Brewer.

. 12:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 10, Bangor Adult Learning Center, 121 York St.

. 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 11, Bangor Career Center, 45 Oak St.

. 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 12, Bangor Hall, University College, 1 University Drive.

. 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 18, Bangor Career Center, 45 Oak St.

Ski club meeting

The Penobscot Valley Ski Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Fields Pond Audubon Center, Fields Pond Road. New members are always welcome. For information, contact Carolyn Eaton, 942-8076.

Veazie

Community calendars

Due to delays at the publisher, the Veazie Community Calendars are not available for distribution. They should be shipped within the week, and garden club members will distribute them as soon as they arrive.

Those who ordered calendars and do not receive them should call Barb Brown Dalton at 947-4827. A limited number of extras will be available at $5 each.

Calendar sales benefit community club projects. The project is the club’s primary fundraiser and is a volunteer effort.
