WATERVILLE – Jamie Lue, a 2003 graduate of Colby College who starred on its soccer team, was murdered last week in Jamaica, the college reported Wednesday.

Lue, 25, an investment analyst, was found shot to death Friday night in his sport utility vehicle. The motive for the killing was unclear.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Lue came to Colby after attending the Westminster School in Connecticut. He was a four-year starter on the Colby soccer team and earned All-New England honors after his sophomore year.

“The Colby men’s soccer family is stunned by the senseless death of Jamie, and our love and sympathies go out to his family,” said Coach Mark Serdjenian.

“Not only was Jamie one of the best ever to play soccer at Colby, he was also a wonderful friend and teammate,” the coach said.
