Security task force offers public meetings

AUGUSTA – The Task Force to Study Maine’s Homeland Security Needs will conduct public meetings in Presque Isle, Saco and Bangor beginning today.

While each regional panel discussion will have a specific focus, the meetings will also provide an opportunity for public comment on other homeland security matters.

. The Presque Isle panel discussion will focus on border patrol and security issues. That meeting will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at City Hall.

. The Saco discussion will focus on public health emergency preparedness issues. It will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at City Hall.

. The Bangor panel will focus on communications and interoperability issues. That meeting will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at City Hall.
