The Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders organization, based in Boston, Mass., has published an updated booklet on Maine’s legal issues for gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people. “We have a publication for all New England states, and they’re continually being updated whenever there are changes in the law,” Carisa Cunningham, director of public affairs for GLAD, said Friday. GLAD’s mission is to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression. The new publication contains a complete update on Maine law since the passage of the state’s anti-discrimination law. The information is available on the GLAD Web site at www.glad.org, and hard copies can be requested by e-mailing gladlaw@glad.org.
