Bowdoin women post 61st straight home win

BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College Polar Bears outscored Emmanuel 39-25 in the second half to pull away for their eighth consecutive victory this season and their 61st straight win at home, 74-53, in women’s basketball action Saturday.

Eileen Flaherty poured in 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Bowdoin. Marisa Berne and Jill Anelauskas contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.

LaTeisha Johnson paced Emmanuel with 16 points.

At Gorham on Saturday, the Huskies built a 29-point halftime lead and didn’t look back.
