BANGOR – Josh Jameson scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter Saturday to help John Bapst overcome a 14-point third-quarter deficit on its way to a 48-45 boys basketball victory over Hermon at the Bangor Auditorium.

Joe Novak netted 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Zach Burnett added 10 points for the Crusaders.

Derek Smith netted 6-1 Orono’s first goal on a Travis Bryant assist and Babin added the second goal on assists from Raymond and Nathan Michaud. Keith Hedrick made 19 saves on 21 shots.

Ted Fabian scored both goals for 5-2 Messalsonkee of Oakland. Mike Hachey stopped 26 of 29 shots.

Brewer 7, Cape Elizabeth 3

At Portland, Zach Wilson scored three goals and had two assists to help keep Brewer undefeated.

Reed McLaughlin, Prentiss Swett, Dylan Fitzpatrick and Matt Helfen each scored a goal for the 8-0 Witches. Aaron Saunders made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Andrew Gibson, Kyle Dancause and Zach Guiliano each scored a goal for 5-3 Cape Elizabeth. Ryan Hatch stopped 33 of 40 shots.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Steve Boutin scored two goals and recorded an assist to lead Hampden by Foxcroft.

Steve McNutt and Troy Gaudette each netted a goal and an assist while Dan Mangano, Josh Tardif and Ian Lee all added a goal. Ryan Richards made 36 saves on 40 shots for the Broncos.

Chad Phillips, Dan Moriartay, Mike Winkler and Dan Rosebush each scored one for Foxcroft. John Catell made 48 saves on 55 shots for the Ponies.

Cheverus 5, Bangor 4 (OT)

At Sawyer Arena, Bangor, Mike Antoniou scored with 16 seconds left in overtime to give Cheverus of Portland the victory.

Cheverus erased a 4-1 second-period deficit.

Alex Arthurs, Garnett Hathaway, Gene Fitzpatrick, and Jordan Cailer each scored a goal for 6-1 Cheverus. Todd Kenevorus had two assists and Hathaway and Antoniou both added an assist. Ryan McQuaid and Casey Cox combined to make 21 saves on 25 shots.

Drew Marin scored two goals for 2-5 Bangor while Matt Boehmer and Dylan George both had a goal. Alex Porter provided two assists and Ben Silver and Mike McPike each had one. Andrew Riley stopped 33 of 38 shots.

At Sukee Arena in Winslow, Billy Policano scored off an assist from Ian Pasquarelli with 47 seconds remaining, lifting the Blackhawks to victory.

Policano set up a Pasquarelli goal earlier in the game for 5-2 Houlton-Hodgdon. Nic Joslyn made 30 saves on 31 shots.

Jason Ellis scored for 4-2 Winslow with Nate Pelletier providing the assist. Devon Grenier made 25 saves on 27 shots.
