FARMINGTON – Julia Knights hit a three-pointer with 1:10 left to play to cap an 18-point as the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners of Castine upended the UMaine-Farmington Beavers 65-63 in North Atlantic Conference women’s basketball action Wednesday.
Alyssa Burns led the Mariners with 20 points and Michelle Gott had 19 points. Knight scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds.
Kari Simpson had 14 points and 11 boards for the University of Maine at Farmington and Karen Sirois also scored 14 points and six assists. Melissa Sawyer had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
