CALAIS – The Calais Blue Devils sank eight of their 12 free throws in the overtime to knock off the Narraguagus Knights 55-48 in high school girls basketball action Thursday.

Lindsey Mingo posted a double-double for Calais with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jessica Brown contributed 12 points. The Blue Devils had a 27-10 edge from the foul line.

Chelsey Baker tossed in 16 points for Narraguagus of Harrington, which sent the game into OT on a Torrey Haley (9 points) basket in the final 30 seconds.

At Rockport, Allie Parent’s nine third-quarter points helped Camden Hills lead by as much as 13 points in the second half but the undefeated Windjammers needed three Carly Holgerson free throws late to hold off the rallying Huskies, who closed within 52-50.

Parent finished with a game-high 15 points. Christina Philoon and Kayla Carleton added eight points apiece. Holgerson pulled down eight rebounds for the 10-0 winners.

Ruth Oviatt’s 14 points, Jenna Lorentsen’s nine and Amanda Asaro’s eight paced Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.
