LEWISTON – TD Banknorth announced Friday plans for a $7 million expansion that’s expected to add more than 100 jobs at its offices in the Bates Mill.

Michael McNamara, president of TD Banknorth Maine, made the announcement at Bates Mill, where he was joined by Gov. John Baldacci and Lewiston City Administrator Jim Bennett.

Baldacci hailed the project as a successful example of growth undertaken through Maine’s Pine Tree Zone program, which provides tax incentives to encourage economic activity in targeted areas of the state.
