2 accused of murder in turnpike case

PORTLAND – Two Portland-area men were arrested Monday and charged with murder in connection with the death of a Boston man who was found in a wooded area alongside the Maine Turnpike last October.

Maine State Police charged Huy Van Nguyen, 33, of South Portland and Nhan H. Truong, 37, of Portland at their apartments. They are being held at the York County Jail in Alfred.

An arrest warrant was also issued for a third man who is now in an out-of-state jail, but police aren’t releasing his name until the paperwork is completed, said Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland.

The body of Dung Quoc Ngo, who was from the Dorchester section of Boston, was found in the town of York by a motorist who stopped at the side of the turnpike on Oct. 15.

The victim, who was 32, was reported missing on Sept. 28 by his mother.

Police have not released the cause of death.
