Big School (Classes A-B)

ALEX KEENE

Keene, a member of the Mount Desert Island track and field team, won three events during an Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet at Orono on Saturday. Keen won the 60 in 6.92 seconds, the 200 in 24.23 and the long jump with a best of 19 feet, 6.75 inches.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ANDREW YORK

A senior guard on the Central Aroostook of Mars Hill basketball team, York scored 71 points in two games as the defending Class D state champs extended their winning streak to 10 games. That effort was highlighted by a 33-point outing as the Panthers topped Class C Madawaska 75-57 on Monday night.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

KATIE SNOW

The Brewer track and field freshman earned wins in the mile (5 minutes, 43.68 seconds) and the 2-mile (13:17.13) to lift the Witches to a team win Saturday. Snow’s individual victories helped Brewer score 84 points to MDI’s 68.5.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ASHLEY NEMER

Nemer, an Ashland senior guard, hit the game-winning basket with 13 seconds left to finish with 15 points and lift the Hornets to a 43-42 win over Washburn on Jan. 13. She scored her 1,000th career point Tuesday in a 43-21 win over Van Buren.
