. ACCU-CHEK Aviva blood glucose meters, manufactured by Roche Diagnostics. Because of the potential for an electronic malfunction that can cause the meter to report an erroneous result, the company has issued a worldwide recall for the meters, which are intended to help diabetics keep track of their blood-sugar levels. The recall includes US serial numbers 52500000000 through 52510999999. Consumers should contact (888) 591-5084 for a replacement, or can visit www.accu-chek.com for information.

. Laugh & Learn Musical Learning Chairs, manufactured by Fisher-Price. The toy chairs were sold nationwide from May 2005 to January 2006. A child can become lodged between the seat back and side table, posing a strangulation hazard. The recalled plastic blue infant chair measures about 17 inches high, plays music, and teaches children numbers and letters. The model numbers are H4609, H7167 through H7173, H8157, H8998, and J0272 through J0275. Consumers should contact Fisher-Price at (866) 552-3914 any time to receive a repair kit, or visit www.

. “Gamer” baseball gloves, manufactured by Mizuno USA and sold nationwide from July to October 2005. The gloves contain aspergillus mold, which usually does not affect healthy individuals but could cause respiratory infections in those with chronic health problems. The recall involves gloves with “Gamer” printed on the palm of the glove. Consumers should contact Mizuno at (800) 966-1211 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for a replacement.

. F99 (Force99) bicycle handlebar stems, manufactured by Syntace USA and sold nationwide from May 2003 to July 2005. The stems can crack or break under normal conditions. The recalled stem is black with productions codes 01 03 through 45 04 as well as stems with no production codes. Consumers should contact Syntace at (800) 448-3876 between 8 a.m.
