WESTBROOK – The deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found at their home were characterized by investigators Friday as a case of murder-suicide linked to domestic violence.
David Pomeroy, 50, shot longtime girlfriend Bonnie Hayes, 42, and then turned the gun on himself, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety.
The couple’s names were released late Friday morning after police confirmed that family members had been notified.
The bodies were found Thursday afternoon by a friend in the living room of the couple’s first-floor apartment on Spiers Street.
