Change history’s course

Who are these people whom we have allowed to run our government? Our country? And our lives? And why do we continue to stand by and let them cheat, steal, lie – even murder – in our name?

Our forefathers gave their sweat and blood to bring this nation to the very brink of greatness – not perfection, but to a level of honor respected throughout the world. In less than a generation we’ve allowed that hard-won honor to be trampled in the muck of our indifference.

Have we become such fools that we can believe that history will blame only government for America’s failure? What about this government By the People? What about a people so lax and ignorant; so self-satisfied as to be blind to its own depreciation?

Is it too late to change the course of our uncertain history? Maybe not – if we begin now – but believe in the surety that many in the world hope will never revive from our stupor.
