ORONO – The University of Maine will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day prior to the 7:30 p.m. women’s basketball game Feb. 1 against Hartford in Orono.

A free activity fair hosted by Black Bear coaches and athletes begins at 4:30 p.m. in Memorial Gym. It will include a pizza party, face painting, nutrition and self-esteem, and a facilities tour.

The first 100 registrants receive a goodie bag including one free ticket to the game, a 10 percent coupon at Bear Necessities and a coupon good for a free food item.
