FARMINGTON – University of Maine-Farmington geology professor Tom Eastler has been named head coach of the 2006 U.S. World Cup racewalk team by the USA Track and Field national office in Indianapolis. He will head up a contingent of 25 athletes and assistants who will travel to La Coruna, Spain for the competition on May 13-14.

Eastler coached the 2000 U.S. Pan American Cup team that competed in Mexico and the 2002 team in Turin, Italy.
