The Husson College Braves stayed unbeaten in the North Atlantic Conference with a 93-81 men’s basketball win over Elms College on Sunday and an 86-57 victory over Becker College on Saturday.

At Chicopee, Mass., Sunday, senior center Buddy Leavitt pumped in a game-high 35 points, including six three-pointers, as Husson of Bangor handed Elms its first league loss.

Husson used a 20-6 run at the end of the first half to transform a seven-point deficit into a 48-41 lead it would never relinquish.

Leavitt also had five rebounds and two blocked shots.

Bangor’s Jordan Heath had 13 points and four assists; Bucksport’s Jason Harvey contributed 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Phil White chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

The Eagles connected on 14 of their 30 3-point attempts.

David Williams’s 21 points paced Elms.

At Leicester, Mass., Saturday, Tyler Muzzy scored 24 points and gathered in nine rebounds, both game-highs, and White and Sheraud Lee combined for 33 points for the Eagles.

Shawn Fuller and Jeff Kotkowski had 13 points apiece for Becker.

At Orono Saturday, Brigitte Laflamme and Vanessa Vani scored a pair of goals apiece and Patricia Gagnon scored just 27 seconds into the game as Maine notched an important Hockey East win over first-year Boston University.

Rachel Gettings made 15 saves in the shutout.

Vani and Gagnon also had assists while Katie Sunstrum and Sheri Wauters had the other goals.

Allyse Wilcox made three saves on six shots before being replaced by Karlyn Pilch, who made 16 saves on 20 shots.

Maine went 2-for-7 on the power play.

Maine is now 12-5-6 overall, 4-5-4 in Hockey East. BU fell to 10-12-4 and 5-9-2, respectively.

At Fort Kent Saturday, Dana Lemon and April Allen scored 14 points apiece, Traci Weatherhead contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds and Nicole Corbin scored 11 points as UM-Fort Kent coasted to the win.
