BANGOR – Christin Pelletier’s defense helped propel Bangor Christian to a 48-41 girls basketball victory over Deer Isle-Stonington at Husson College’s Newman Gym on Monday.
The Patriots used a “box-and-one” to hold the Mariners’ Audra Eaton to three second-half points. Eaton had scored 14 in the first half for the Mariners.
Jen Hutchins tossed in 19 points to lead Bangor Christian, which outscored the Mariners 16-2 in the fourth quarter. Morgan Chasse scored 12.
Regyn Lowry netted 10 points for the Mariners.
