The UM-Fort Kent freshman was named Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week. He averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds for the Bengals.
Geneice Bassue
The UM-Fort Kent freshman forward earned Sunrise Rookie of the Week honors. Her defense paced the Bengals to a 3-0 week.
Rob Stockwell
The Bates College forward was named MMBCA Player of the Week. He posted three double-doubles in a 3-0 week for the Bobcats.
Brett Miles, Aecio Madeira
UM-Presque Isle’s Miles and Thomas College’s Madeira were named the MMBCA’s Co-Rookies of the Week. Miles averaged 27 points per game in two games last week for the Owls while Madeira led the Terriers to a win over Johnson State. Madeira also earned NAC Rookie of the Week honors.
Shelly Gott, Katie McCabe
Maine Maritime’s Gott and Colby College’s McCabe earned MWBCA Co-Player of the Week honors. Gott averaged 20 points per game for the Mariners as they went 3-0; McCabe averaged 19 points per game for Colby.
Essie McKinnon
The U-New England forward earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week honors. She averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds as UNE went 2-1 in conference play last week.
Melissa Bellemore
Melissa Bellemore, a junior at University of Southern Maine, earned Little East Track Athlete of the Week honors. She placed first in the 55-meter hurdles, leading the Huskies to victory at the USM Co-Ed Invitational.
Alyssa Burns
The Maine Maritime junior earned NAC Player of the Week honors. She averaged 20 points per game in leading MMA to three conference wins.
Toby Martin
Martin, a freshman at Thomas College, earned NAC Rookie of the Week honors. She led the Terriers to two wins, averaging 19 points per game.
Jill Anelauskas
The freshman forward for Bowdoin College earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors. She averaged 21 points in leading Bowdoin to two conference wins.
Philippe Tchekane Bofia
University of Maine freshman Philippe Tchekane Bofia was named the America East Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week. Tchekane Bofia recorded a double-double in a win over Stony Brook.
