Rams win 2-0 as Seeley shuts out Lewiston

LEWISTON – Josh Seeley stopped all 28 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the year as the Bangor Rams earned a 2-0 high school hockey win over the Lewiston Blue Devils at the Colisee Wednesday night.

Dan Shufelt scored on a Dylan George assist 8 minutes into the third period and George added a goal two minutes later on a John Warren assist for the 7-6 Rams.

Brian Nason made 20 saves on 22 shots for 9-5 Lewiston.

Kents Hill 6, Hampden 3

At T.J. Ryan Center, Brewer, Nick Kolb had a hat trick with three goals to lead Kents Hill to victory.

James Hoeg scored two goals for 6-7 Kents Hill and Will McNamara added a goal. Will Purdy had two assists as Will Reyes stopped 14 of 17 shots.

Kyle Sparacio scored two goals and assisted the other for 6-8 Hampden Academy. Nick Beal scored a goal and Matt Albert made 15 saves on 20 shots.

Girls basketball

John Bapst 49, Bucksport 34

At Bucksport, Hillary Laferriere netted 13 points to lead John Bapst of Bangor to victory.

Chere Wickstrom and Ashley Freeman added 12 points apiece for the Crusaders.

Lindsey Gordon led Bucksport with 10.
