Come in out of the cold at the Winterfest Dinner Dance this Friday at the Muddy Rudder Restaurant in Brewer. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour and music from The Meddiebempsters, an all-male a capella group from Bowdoin College. A buffet dinner featuring carved steamship round, baked stuffed haddock, chicken Marsala, a stir-fry station and flaming desserts will take the chill off. Then, diners can work off their meal to the sounds of DJ Barry Lord, who will play dance favorites from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $50 per person, $90 per couple or $360 per table of eight, are available in advance at the restaurant. For information, call 989-5389.
