Dr. Robert Kennedy, president of the University of Maine in Orono, will be the featured speaker at a breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Black Bear Inn, 4 Godfrey Drive, Orono.

Kennedy will discuss the new biomedical graduate program authorized for the university.

The event is cosponsored by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce’s Governmental Affairs Committee in conjunction with the University of Maine Alumni Association.

Kennedy will discuss the unique nature of the program and the opportunities and challenges associated with it. Tickets are $12 for Chamber members, $15 for others. Information can be obtained by calling 947-0307.
