BANGOR – Following are city meetings and other activities for the week ahead. All will be held in City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.
. Monday: City Hall closed for Presidents Day observance.
. Tuesday: 8 p.m., task force to enhance Bangor’s future architectural character, agenda includes ongoing discussion regarding moving to common view of what should be factored into architectural standards for downtown, waterfront; 3:45 p.m., water district trustees, Hughes Building, 614 State St., agenda includes election of officers, authorization of 2006 bond issue; 7 p.m., planning board, agenda includes site development plan for outdoor storage area at 284 Perry Road, discussion of land code amendments proposed by Penjajawoc Marsh-Bangor Mall management commission.
. Wednesday: 3 p.m., recycling committee, tour of PERC plant in Orrington; 5 p.m., City Council’s business and economic development committee, agenda includes application for downtown municipal development district and tax-increment financing district, recommendation for downtown development program, executive session discussion of proposals for Union Place, Summer Street and waterfront hotels.
