Religion in brief BAR HARBOR: RELIGION AND POLITICS

The Union of Maine Visual Artists will explore religion and politics in its annual late-winter show at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor. The exhibit, “Religion and Politics/Church and State,” opens next week. Curators chose 21 works by 18 artists. The works include “Who’s Next” by Melita Westerlund, a multimedia installation featuring a game park with targets and balloons placed on the wall and caskets created from newspaper clippings about Iraqi war dead. The exhibit will be at the Ethel Blum Gallery, College of the Atlantic, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday Feb. 27-March 17. Call 288-5015, ext. 291.
