Man summoned in Greenbush crash

A Greenbush man was handed two summonses after his car was hit in an accident on Sunday night.

Kevin Prygrocki, 24, of Greenbush was turning from Military Road onto Route 2 in Greenbush around 8 p.m. when his 1995 Ford Escort was struck from the side by a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Mishale Rollins, 25, of Old Town. Rollins was not injured in the crash.

Police said Prygrocki’s lack of attention and failure to yield were factors in the crash.

Jessica Murray, 20, of Greenbush, a passenger in Prygrocki’s car, complained of back pain and was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center to be examined.

Prygrocki was summoned for failure to produce proof of insurance and operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Bangor police charged a woman with theft Monday after she reportedly took more than $150 in picture frames from the Grasshopper Shop downtown.

A store employee reported seeing Marsha Freeman, 38, whose home address is Brewer’s Stable Inn, with several picture frames under her arm inside the store.

The employee told Officer Edward A. Mercier that Freeman ducked behind a counter, and when she re-emerged, the picture frames were no longer under her arm.

However, when Freeman left the store, a picture frame was sticking out of her handbag, according to the police report.
