County Democrats to hold caucuses Feb. 26

LITTLETON – The 2006 Democratic caucuses will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, for the following municipalities in Aroostook County. The caucuses are listed alphabetically by towns. The times, locations and contacts are noted. All Democrats are highly encouraged to attend and participate to: select Democratic Municipal Committee officers; select Democratic election clerks to work at the polls on Election Day; elect delegates and alternates to the Democratic State Convention to be held in Augusta June 2-4; and discuss issues of importance to Aroostook County residents.

Caucus voters must be registered to vote and enrolled as Democrats in their municipality. Individuals who have not previously registered to vote in their municipality may register and enroll at the caucus on the day of the caucus. Unenrolled voters with no party affiliation may enroll as Democrats at their municipality’s caucus on the day of the caucus. For further information, contact Virginia Manuel at 538-9493.
