BREWER – Current state candlepin bowling champion Shawn Morrison of Brewer achieved a rare milestone in the sport Monday night when he rolled a 207 game during a men’s league match at the Bangor-Brewer Bowling Lanes.

Morrison recorded a 144 in his first game, a 127 in his second and finished with the 207.

“I know of very few people who have ever bowled over 200,” said B-B Lanes owner Charlie Milan III, a 23-time state champ who has bowled nine 200 games. “I think there may be around 30 or so bowlers who have ever done it.”

Morrison’s 207 featured six strikes and two spares.
