Derek Pelletier of Fort Kent has earned a tie for skimeister in the state high school Class C ski meet after a scoring change in which a skier from Jay was disqualified in the slalom portion of the competition on Tuesday.

The disqualification moved Pelletier, who was second with 49 points, into a first-place tie with Freeport’s Nate Fuller, who had totaled 48 points.

Pelletier received the skimeister honor by finishing fifth in classical cross country, seventh in freestyle cross country, seventh in the giant slalom, and 29th in the slalom.
