AUGUSTA – Dr. Abe N. Pahilan of Millinocket has had his license revoked by the state Board of Licensure in Medicine.

The board determined that Pahilan acted in an unprofessional and incompetent manner.

At a meeting Tuesday, the board reviewed evidence that Pahilan had caused patient harm by dispensing to a patient a controlled substance that had previously been prescribed to another patient. The board also reviewed evidence that the medication was dispensed in a bottle with another patient’s name, address and health information.

Any person can request an investigation of a physician or physician assistant by contacting the board office at 287-3608, by letter or by visiting the Web site www.docboard.org/me/me home.htm.
