PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Seton Hall Pirates racked up 17 hits and rolled to a 14-9 college baseball victory over the Maine Black Bears Sunday.

Robbie Hine and Brandon Cohen each drove in three runs for Seton Hall. Cohen hit two doubles and two singles.

Joel Barrett led Maine with three RBIs on a triple and two singles. Curt Smith doubled and triples for two RBIs.

At Tampa, Fla., Mitch Waters pitched a complete-game eight-hitter as the Spartans of North Manchester, Ind., spoiled Husson’s season debut.

Manchester scored two runs each in the first and second innings to take a 4-0 lead against Husson starter Travis Tripp.

Shawn Brawn’s RBI double in the bottom of the second pulled the Eagles within 4-1, but Manchester added two more runs in the top of the third.

Jason Harvey singled home Dusty Thomas in the bottom of the fifth for Husson’s final run.

Brawn finished with a double and a single for the Eagles, while Adam Sheehan singled twice.

Husson returns to action here at 2:30 p.m. Monday against Anna Maria of Worcester, Mass.
