The rising cost of fuel and supplies is behind a request for more money in 2007 for winter road maintenance.

The winter road maintenance budget of $90,000, an increase of $4,000 over this year, will be acted upon by residents at the annual town meeting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Parkman Grange.

A luncheon will be served at noon.

The Harvey Memorial Library will hold a food sale before and after the meeting. A proposed changed in the town’s land-use ordinance also will need voter attention. The change is reflected in the lot requirements.

A new request this year is to raise or appropriate $500 for the Friends of Community Fitness in Sangerville. Residents also will elect a selectman, a library trustee, a planning board member, and an SAD 4 board member.
