GORHAM – University of Southern Maine women’s basketball coach Gary Fifield was named WBCA Region One Coach of the Year.

Fifield, in his 19th season at USM, has received the honor four times. He has led the Huskies to the No. 1 ranking in the country and an appearance in this weekend’s NCAA Division III Final Four.
