HERMON – Rozlyn Peterson of Nokomis in Newport scored 20 points to help lead the Class A girls past Class B 86-72 in the seventh annual Big East Conference senior all-star basketball games Tuesday night.

In the boys matchup, Class B topped Class A 100-78.

In the girls game, Kelsey Curtis scored 19 points for Class A and Bangor High teammate Serena Dubois had 14 points. Brewer’s Katie Quimby posted 13 points as Old Town’s Katie Bergeron and Jennie Jones added 10 points apiece.

Chere Wickstrom of John Bapst of Bangor and Kylan Smith of Presque Isle paced Class B with 15 points. Quinci Sanderson of Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln scored 12 points and Katie Delong of Presque Isle added nine points.

In the boys game, Presque Isle’s Chris Coffin drained eight 3-pointers to pace Class B with 24 points. John Bapst’s Joe Novak and Presque Isle’s Greg Whitaker each scored 15 points. Robin Daley of Mount Desert Island had 11 points and Presque Isle’s Matt McGlinn scored 10 points.

Hampden Academy’s Jordan Cook went 11 for 11 at the foul line and scored 21 points for Class A. Old Town’s Logan Bouchard had 12 points, while J Uhrin of Hampden scored 11 and Chris Wilson of Brewer had 10.
