BANGOR – City councilors have welcomed the latest batch of board, committee and commission appointees.

The recognition began Monday with a half-hour reception before the council’s regular meeting. It culminated with a group swearing-in ceremony conducted by City Clerk Patti Dubois.

Each of the appointees was interviewed by the council’s personnel committee, whose recommendations to the full council were adopted unanimously.

This year’s appointees:

. Board of appeals: Randy Gardner, James Davitt, members; Arnold Fessenden Jr., associate member.

. Board of assessment review: Dean Beaupain, Rosalind Prince, members; Jason Elliot, associate member.

. Board of ethics: Donald Tripp Lewis, Jonathan Shenkin, Wayne Walker, members; Dan Field, associate member.

. Cultural development commission: Susan Carlisle, Susan Jonason.

. Firearms discharge committee: Donald Gagner, Thomas Reagan.

. Harbor committee: Maureen Walsh, Michael Gilmore.

. Historic preservation commission: Michael Grillo, Sarah Martin, members; Wayne Mallar, associate member.

. Marsh-Mall management commission: James Hinds, Lucy Quimby, Shepard Harris, land trust representatives; Cindy DeBeck, Tom Davis, Marion Rudnicki, landowners; Hope Brogunier, George Elliott, Judy Kellogg Markowsky, environmentalists; Jackie Hewitt, James Parker, Tricia Quirk, business representatives.
