Business dinner
BANGOR – The National Association of Women Business Owners invites professionals to its annual dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the Sea Dog. Marianne Sensale-Guerin will present the keynote address. The event is open to men and women and costs $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers. The Small Business Administration named Guerin National Small Business Person of the Year based on the success of her Gorham-based firm, which specializes in removal and replacement of fuel storage tanks.

BANGOR – Penquis Community Action Program is seeking nominations of businesses in Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties that support employees in balancing the needs of both work and family. The winning business will be recognized at the annual Economic Prosperity for Everyone Conference June 13 with the Penquis CAP Family-Friendly Employer Award.
A family-friendly employer is one who has successfully helped its staff manage family and personal commitments alongside workplace responsibilities. Work-life harmony is achieved when both career goals and family commitments are fulfilled.
