The following legislative candidates met the March 15 filing deadline for appearing on the June 13 primary ballot:
Senate District 23: Gail Chase, D-Unity, and Carol Weston, R-Montville; Weston is the incumbent. The district includes all of Waldo County.
Senate District 22: Scott Barrows, D-Rockland, and Christine Savage, R-Union; Savage is the incumbent. The district includes all of Knox County except Friendship, Washington and Isle Au Haut.
Senate District 20: Dana Dow, R-Waldoboro, and Kathleen King, D-South Bristol; Dow is the incumbent. The district includes all of Lincoln County, the Knox County towns of Friendship and Washington, and the Kennebec County town Windsor.
House District 41: Kenneth Lindell, R-Frankfort, and Lance Weddell, D-Frankfort; Lindell is the incumbent. The district includes Frankfort, Orland, Prospect, Searsport, Stockton Springs and Verona Island.
House District 42: Joseph Brooks, D-Winterport, Donna Gilbert, D-Winterport, and Jeffrey Kaelin, R-Winterport; Kaelin is the incumbent. The district includes Brooks, Jackson, Monroe, Swanville, Waldo and Winterport.
House District 43: Walter Ash, D-Belfast, and Jayne Crosby Giles, R-Belfast; Ash is the incumbent. The district includes Belfast, Belmont and Northport.
House District 44: Peter Misluk, D-Searsmont, and Robert Walker, R-Lincolnville; incumbent Barbara Merrill, D-Appleton, did not seek re-election. The district includes Appleton, Hope, Islesboro, Liberty, Lincolnville, Morrill and Searsmont.
House District 45: Harmon Ryan, R-Palermo, and John Piotti, D-Unity; Piotti is the incumbent. The district includes Burnham, Freedom, Knox, Montville, Palermo, Thorndike, Troy and Unity.
House District 46: Stephen Bowen, R-Rockport, and David Miramant, D-Camden; Bowen is the incumbent. The district includes Camden and Rockport.
House District 47: Edward Mazurek, D-Rockland, and James Raye, R-Rockland; Mazurek is the incumbent. The district includes Rockland and parts of Owls Head.
House District 48: Nancy Glover, D-South Thomaston, and Chris Rector, R-Thomaston; Rector is the incumbent. The district includes South Thomaston, St. George, Thomaston, parts of Owls Head, Matinicus Isle Plantation and the unorganized territory of Criehaven.
House District 49: Diane Cowan, D-Friendship, and Wesley Richardson, R-Warren; Richardson is the incumbent. The district includes Cushing, Friendship, Union and Warren.
House District 50: Clinton Collamore, D-Waldoboro, Wendy Pieh, D-Bremen, and Arthur Tainter, R-Waldoboro. David Trahan, R-Waldoboro, will be term-limited from seeking re-election. The district includes Bremen, part of Jefferson, Nobleboro and Waldoboro.
House District 51: Ellen Dickens, D-Newcastle, and Jonathan McKane, R-Newcastle; McKane is the incumbent. The district includes Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Newcastle, South Bristol and Monhegan Plantation.
In districts where more than one candidate from the same party has filed, the June 13 primary will determine which candidate will be on the Nov. 7 general election ballot.
Independent candidates have until June to file nomination petitions to get on the general election ballot.
