Player of the Week

COLLEGE

Dustin Spiller

Saint Joseph’s College sophomore center fielder Dustin Spiller was named the North Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Spiller had a .489 average and had seven RBIs, seven runs scored, and four doubles for the Monks.

Wade Oliver

Freshman right fielder Wade Oliver of Saint Joseph’s College was honored as the Baseball Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Oliver had eight hits in 19 at bats including a home run and five RBIs.

Matt McGraw

University of Maine’s Matt McGraw was named the America East Player of the Week for Baseball. McGraw hit .484 during the week with 12 runs scored and 12 RBIs.

Kevin McAvoy

University of Maine’s Kevin McAvoy of Brewer was honored as the America East Rookie of the Week for Baseball for the second consecutive week. McAvoy had a .423 average with six runs scored and nine RBIs in a 5-2 week for the Black Bears.

Kate Sheridan

Colby College freshman midfielder Kate Sheridan was named the NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. Sheridan scored five goals in an 11-9 win over Williams.

Eileen Flaherty

Bowdoin College junior forward Eileen Flaherty earned First Team All-American honors in the WBCA and D3Hoops.com selections. Flaherty averaged 16.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and led Bowdoin in scoring.

Justine Pouravelis

Bowdoin College senior forward Justine Pouravelis was named a Fourth Team All-American by D3Hoops.com. Pouravelis averaged 9.8 points and 8.2 rebounds during theseason.

Jon Landry

Senior Jon Landry of Bowdoin College was named a First Team All-American selection by the American Hockey Coaches Association. Landry had 16 goals and 22 assists with six powerplay tallies and three game-winners.

George Papachristopoulos

Bowdoin College senior George Papachristopoulos was also named a First Team All-American selection by the American Hockey Coaches Association. Papachristopoulos posted a .916 save percentage and 2.41 goals-against-average. He had a Bowdoin-record five shutouts.

Marcus Alexander

Saint Joseph’s College junior Marcus Alexander was honored as an Honorable Mention on the Association of Division III Independents All-Independent Team. Alexander led the Monks with 12.7 points per game.

Kaylin Regula

Saint Joseph’s College senior Kaylin Regula was named to the Second Team on the Association of Division III Independents All-Independent Team. Regula led Saint Joseph’s with 11.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game.
