N.H. woman injured on snowmobile trail

MADAWASKA – A New Hampshire woman was returning home Thursday with a fractured leg suffered in a snowmobile accident at Madawaska on Monday night.

Game Warden Ed Christie said Thursday that Erica Davis, 26, failed to negotiate a curve and ended up in the woods. She fractured the femur in her right leg.

The 8:40 p.m. accident happened on ITS 83. Davis was operating a sled bought two days ago by her boyfriend, John McNally, also of New Hampshire.

Investigators said it seemed to be a case of going too fast for conditions.

The snowmobilers were headed north on ITS 83 when Davis failed to make a right-hand turn in the trail.
