FORT KENT – Adam Morrow, a senior at University of Maine at Fort Kent, has been named outstanding airman of the year by the Maine Air National Guard.

Morrow graduated in 2005 from the Combat Arms Apprentice Course at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.

“Morrow’s aggressive ‘can do’ attitude enabled him to consistently produce results when assigned challenging tasks,” said Maj. Joel Nadeau at the Maine Air National Guard in Bangor.

Morrow has served as flight armorer, accounting for more than 275 weapons and 4,500 rounds of ammunition on a daily basis since 2003.

He also is a state-certified member of the Aroostook County Emergency Response Team, and his future plans are to attend graduate school.
