The cause of a fire Monday morning that destroyed a home on Lyndsay Lane was determined to be connected to the home’s wood stove, Sgt. Timothy York of the State Fire Marshal’s Office said Tuesday. “The origin of the fire was on the back deck,” he said. “The cause of the fire resulted from the careless disposal of materials from the wood stove.” A family member said owners Paula and Patrick Daigle and their two daughters, ages 15 and 12, lost everything. The house, built a decade ago, was the first built in the Forest Hill Estates subdivision. The Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross provided food and clothing and replaced some prescriptions that were lost in the fire and continues to assist the family, spokeswoman Hillary Roberts said Tuesday.
