Dinner to honor Bangor’s Gerry Hodge

There will be a recognition dinner in honor of former Bangor High School football coach Gerry Hodge on Saturday, June 3 at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor.

Cocktail hour will begin at 5 p.m. with a buffet dinner and speakers to follow.

The dinner costs $45 per person and a portion of the proceeds will go to the establishment of a Gerald F. Hodge Scholarship Fund to be awarded to a deserving Bangor High School football player.

Those interested are asked to make their reservations by May 15.

They can do so at the Corner Store or Fairmount Market on Hammond Street in Bangor or by sending a check to Paul W. Newman, 64 Royal Road, Bangor, 04401.

Contributions are also welcome.

Hodge coached football for 18 seasons at Bangor, guiding the Rams to a 116-50-6 record and two state championships. He also coached four years at Mexico High School. His combined record was 150-52-6.
