A first visit to the Grand on the first! And this was no April Fooling. What a tremendous performance of “Beauty and the Beast” at the Grand Theater in Ellsworth Saturday evening. Wonderful talent, superb set designs and gorgeous costumes, along with excellent choreography and orchestral productions, combined to present a musical to remember.

Congratulations to all of the thespians and technical staff involved in this spectacular presentation that was comparable to a one-hour version we saw at Disney World a few years ago.

It seemed this was truly a team effort, with no one expecting single accolades for his or her performance and with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves. If this is not true, then simply allow us to continue with that observation.
