Regarding Dubai Ports World, some pertinent facts may have been missed; information like that provided by Dick Morris in a recent New York Post article.
Highlights of the Post column, as reported in the March 17 edition of the Week, indicate that former President Bill Clinton was deeply involved in the Dubai debacle. It is stated that “Clinton acknowledges he’s been directly advising Dubai’s ruling family on how to overcome opposition by Congress and the public to its takeover of six U.S. ports.” Furthermore, we’re told that the 45-day delay period was Clinton’s idea and that Clinton has received at least $1 million from Dubai’s leaders; $500,000 for two speeches and at least $500,000 for his library.
The question is raised as to whether Clinton’s public support for the proposed Dubai operation is “an objective opinion or a paid-for propaganda.”
It appears the Morris article has identified other “pertinent facts” to be taken into account if we are to see the “complete picture.”
