ELLSWORTH – Union Trust Co. is introducing a new logo to be used in its promotional efforts and has announced that it will be opening new branches in Town Hill, Camden and Rockland. Started in 1887, Union Trust recently held focus groups with customers, who told the bank it should develop a new look.

The new logo includes purple and white sails against a copper background. The full sails represent forward movement, while the copper background is seen as representing stability. The sails also pay tribute to the fact that the bank has been built on the coast.
